Inflorescence is an axillary panicle; flowers are irregular, white, up to 2.5cm across and fragrant. Fruit is a 3- angled, elongate, pod like capsule; seeds are many and winged. Native to the Old World. Planted for its edible roots, leaves, flowers and fruits. |
