Indigenous to the West Indies and Peru, this narrow-domed, evergreen tree grows up to 6m tall with a spread of 1.8m, but can be kept trimmed to shrub size. Its glossy green leaves are mostly unlobed; bright red, funnel-shaped flowers are grouped in clusters towards the ends of the branches. |
