Better known as 'Carnation' this woody perennial with flattened, soft mid-green leaves, up to 15cm long, with conspicuous sheaths. Bears loose cymes, 5cm across, of 1-5 strongly fragrant, single, toothed, bright pink-purple flowers, up to 1.5cm across, on stiff stems in summer. |
