Description:

It is a flamboyant as it is a shapely tree. Its large trusses of 4in., orange to scarlet flowers with white or yellow markings put on a spectacular display in late spring or early summer. The blooms are followed by 2ft. long black seedpods that hang on the bare winter branches. Rapidly attains 30-40ft. height and as wide, with umbrella-shaped silhouette. Fernlike leaves, finely cut into many tiny leaflets; give filtered shade. |
