Description:

Erect, hairless, stiff-stemmed annual bearing mostly basal, mid to dark green leaves, up to 10cm long. Leaves are lance-shaped and either entire or pinnate or 2-pinnate with linear leaflets. In summer, produces solitary, bright yellow flower heads, up to 5cm across, shading to brown-red at the bases, with dark red disc-florets. Dark red, purple, and brown variants also occur;1.2m Ht.
